WORKSHOPS

WRITERS' WORKSHOP  is seeking new members.  Writers present their manuscripts for group critique to improve their writing talents with the aim of achieving publication.

Membership is limited to seven writers actively working on projects in most fields except poetry, children's literature, or technical writing.  At each meeting members provide copies for others in the group.  Each reads up to 2,500 words in double-spaced, 12-point type.  This may be a complete piece or a portion of a longer work.

Meetings are held from September through June at St. Philip's Church (River & Campbell) on the first and third Thursday of the month from 10 a.m. to about 2:30 p.m.  Members bring a bag lunch and something to drink.  In September, each member contributes $30 to the church for use of the room.

Candidates for membership are asked to attend two Writers' Workshops, after which members decide if there is "a fit."  If you are interested, please contact:  Ellie Nelson (AMW Member), ewandfjnelson@aol.com.
